What's new in QuickSet 1.0
Our smartphones are smart, but they're not perfect. They constantly keep checking for things like WiFi connections and Facebook updates. The problem is that they do this even when its not required, like at night or when there is no WiFi available. This causes unnecessary battery drain. There are many apps out there to help you automate your device, but they can be confusing and difficult to figure out.QuickSet allows you to quickly change some of these settings depending on where you are and what time of day it is with just three taps of your finger.
Tap HOME to turn on your WiFi and Auto Sync and dim the brightness when you are at home.
Tap OUT when you leave the house to turn WiFi and Auto Sync off and increase screen brightness.
Tap DAY during the daytime to keep your devices volumes at a reasonable level.
Tap NIGHT before you go to bed to turn all volumes down except the alarm.
Without this app, you would have to tap all of those options individually throughout the day in order to save a couple of hours of battery life!
This app can do all of that in just three taps.
QuickSet Permissions
Read sync settings - allows the app to read the sync settings for an account. for example, this can determine whether the people app is synced with an accountPrevent device from sleeping - allows the app to prevent the device from going to sleep
View network connections - allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected
Modify system settings - allows the app to modify the system's settings data. malicious apps may corrupt your system's configuration
View wi-fi connections - allows the app to view information about wi-fi networking, such as whether wi-fi is enabled and name of connected wi-fi devices
Toggle sync on and off - allows an app to modify the sync settings for an account. for example, this can be used to enable sync of the people app with an account
Connect and disconnect from wi-fi - allows the app to connect to and disconnect from wi-fi access points and to make changes to device configuration for wi-fi networks
Disable your screen lock - allows the app to disable the keylock and any associated password security. for example, the phone disables the keylock when receiving an incoming phone call, then re-enables the keylock when the call is finished
