Rasulullah Muhammad صلي الله عليه وسلم telah bersabda:صَلُّوا كَمَارَأَيْتُمُونِيْ أُصَلِّيْ
"Shalatlah kalian sebagaimana kalian melihat aku shalat." (HR. Al Bukhari [Muslim dan Ahmad])
Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda:
إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَنْصَرِفُ وَمَا كُتِبَ لَهُ إِلَّا عُشْرُ صَلَاتِهِ تُسْعُهَا ثُمْنُهَا سُبْعُهَا سُدْسُهَا خُمْسُهَا رُبْعُهَا ثُلُثُهَا نِصْفُهَا
“Sesungguhnya ada seseorang yang benar-benar mengerjakan shalat, namun pahala shalat yang tercatat baginya hanyalah sepersepuluh (dari) shalatnya, sepersembilan, seperdelapan, sepetujuh, seperenam, seperlima, seperempat, sepertiga, dan seperduanya saja.”
(Hasan, Diriwayatkan oleh Abu Dawud, an-Nasa’i dan Ibnu Hibban dalam Shahihnya dengan riwayat senada. HN. 537)
Rasululloh shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda:
إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ صَلَاتُهُ فَإِنْ صَلُحَتْ فَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ وَأَنْجَحَ وَإِنْ فَسَدَتْ فَقَدْ خَابَ وَخَسِرَ فَإِنْ انْتَقَصَ مِنْ فَرِيضَتِهِ شَيْءٌ قَالَ الرَّبُّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ انْظُرُوا هَلْ لِعَبْدِي مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ فَيُكَمَّلَ بِهَا مَا انْتَقَصَ مِنْ الْفَرِيضَةِ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ سَائِرُ عَمَلِهِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
“Sungguh amalan hamba yang pertama kali dihisab dari seorang hamba adalah sholatnya. Apabila bagus maka ia telah beruntung dan sukses dan bila rusak maka ia telah rugi dan menyesal. Apabila kurang sedikit dari sholat wajibnya , maka Rabb Azza wa Jalla berfirman, ‘Lihatlah apakah hambaKu itu memiliki sholat tathawwu’ (sholat Sunnah). Lalu disempurnakan dengannya yang kurang dari sholat wajibnya tersebut, kemudian seluruh amalannya diberlakukan demikian
(HR at-Tirmidziy dan lain-lain; kemudian ia berkata bahwa hadits ini; “Hadits Hasan Gharib”)
Dari Abu ad-Darda’ dari Nabi shallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam bersabda,
أول سيئ يرفع من هذه الأمة الخشوع ، حتى لاترى فيها خا شعا
“Perkara pertama yang diangkat dari umat ini adalah kekhusyu ‘an sehingga kamu tidak melihat seorang pun yang khusyu’ di dalamnya.”
(Diriwayatkan oleh ath-Thabrani dengan sanad hasan; Diriwayatkan pula oleh Ibnu Hibban dalam Shahihnya di akhir hadits secara mauquf kepada Syaddad bin Aus.)
