Download Mr Gabriel to feel safe everywhere you go. Mr Gabriel is a virtual guardian angel on your Android Wear and/or your Phone. Whenever you are in trouble, Mr Gabriel detects it and automatically sends a help message to your predefined contacts. Mr Gabriel is FREE!Do you run alone? Are you coming back home late at night? With Mr Gabriel, you now feel as if you had a Guardian Angel by your side.
With smartphones, people feel reassured that help is just a call away. But the time it takes to access, unlock and dial a phone turns apparently these simple actions into challenges when panic sets in.
ASK FOR HELP IN 2 TAPS
With Mr Gabriel, you feel confident about your safety since you know you can send an alert in less than 2 taps from your Android Wear or Phone. A text message including your current position is then sent to your predefined contacts.
A NEW LEVEL OF PERSONAL SAFETY
1/ Chose up to 3 “Angels” among your friends or family. They will be the ones who receive your “Alert” messages in case anything happens.
2/ Press the alert button and Mr Gabriel will send a text message calling for help to your 3 Angels.
FEATURES
- Always with you: Mr.Gabriel sits on your watch and therefore stays with you all the time. No risk of leaving the phone in your bag or in another room, etc.
- Android Wear optimized: You can call for help directly and discreetly from your watch.
- One touch alert button: designed to avoid false alerts.
- Alert via text messages: alerts include your phone number (clickable) and your name to enable your Angels to call you back as soon as possible. If you chose to enable geolocation (recommended), your location is sent as well.
- Respects your privacy: your Angels will never know your location unless an Alert is sent or if you chose to share it (see below).
- “Send my location”: this option allows you to send your location to one of your Angels in 1 click. Helpful if you do not want to send an alert but need someone to come and help you because you are lost or not feeling well.
- Define up to 3 Angels to ask for their help individually or collectively.
Mr Gabriel Permissions
Receive text messages (sms) - allows the app to receive and process sms messages. this means the app could monitor or delete messages sent to your device without showing them to youFull network access - allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. the browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet
Read phone status and identity - allows the app to access the phone features of the device. this permission allows the app to determine the phone number and device ids, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call
Send sms messages - allows the app to send sms messages. this may result in unexpected charges. malicious apps may cost you money by sending messages without your confirmation
View network connections - allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected
Read your own contact card - allows the app to read personal profile information stored on your device, such as your name and contact information. this means the app can identify you and may send your profile information to others
Control vibration - allows the app to control the vibrator
Precise location (gps and network-based) - allows the app to get your precise location using the global positioning system (gps) or network location sources such as cell towers and wi-fi. these location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power
Prevent device from sleeping - allows the app to prevent the device from going to sleep
Change your audio settings - allows the app to modify global audio settings such as volume and which speaker is used for output
Directly call phone numbers - allows the app to call phone numbers without your intervention. this may result in unexpected charges or calls. note that this doesn't allow the app to call emergency numbers. malicious apps may cost you money by making calls without your confirmation
Draw over other apps - allows the app to draw on top of other applications or parts of the user interface. they may interfere with your use of the interface in any application, or change what you think you are seeing in other applications
Read your contacts - allows the app to read data about your contacts stored on your device, including the frequency with which you've called, emailed, or communicated in other ways with specific individuals. this permission allows apps to save your contact data, and malicious apps may share contact data without your knowledge
Run at startup - allows the app to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. this can make it take longer to start the device and allow the app to slow down the overall device by always running
